Who I Am

I’ve been on every side of the nonprofit balance sheet.
I started in accounting, serving on the audit team, where I prepared 990s, GAAP compilations and reviews, and worked on financial statement analyses for business valuations. I know what auditors look for, because I was one.
Then I crossed the table. Director of Development and Communications at the Children’s Center. President and CEO of the United Way of Mid-Maine. Director of Philanthropy and Community Engagement at Maine Children’s Home. Development and Grants at Unity Environmental University.
So when your board asks a question you can’t answer from your current reports, I’ve been the person on all sides of the conversation – the board member, the one preparing the numbers, and the one accountable for them.
